Sharon Osbourne has announced that she is the new celebrity ambassador for the Atkins brand. Atkins Nutritionals, Inc. is one of the most popular weight loss systems on the market. Sharon joined the program to lose weight and get healthy for her 60th birthday.

The Atkins program follows the low carbohydrate science philosophy. When you eat a low carbohydrate diet, your body starts taking its energy from fat instead of sugar. Atkins is backed by over 80 scientific studies. Over long term, the program focuses on eating a controlled diet of protein and natural carbohydrates through fruit and vegetables. Sharon says that her experiences on the diet have been very successful. “In just two weeks, I am already 11 pounds lighter! I never feel hungry because I’m able to eat satisfying, filling food including many of my favorites.”

As of now she has lost over 25 pounds and feels great. Atkins is thrilled to have her as their ambassador. They are particularly pleased with her age, as many individuals develop health issues later in life. Monty Sharma, chief executive officer of Atkins Nutritionals, Inc says that “Sharon brings amazing energy and excitement to the Atkins brand. She is a well-known and admired individuals, who has conquered many life’s challenges. We expect she will serve as tremendous inspiration to others looking to lose or maintain their weight and live healthier lives.”
