Who We Are

ActiveBeat is a health and wellness website designed to make healthy living attainable for everyone. We also understand that health and wellness looks different for everyone. As such, our content is extremely diverse and varied. We cover general health topics like diet and nutrition, as well as more specific medication conditions like diabetes and Alzheimer’s. Our content has been curated to appeal to people of all ages, who are at different places in their journey.

Our Process

Our goal is to deliver the highest quality content to our readers. As such, all of our content is reviewed by our editors and, if of a medical nature, someone on our team of medical experts. We strive to provide the most factual information by sourcing writers and industry influencers who are passionate about sharing their experiences and knowledge with our audience. While some articles may be updated or edited after publishing, our general editorial process is as follows:

  • Health writers research the topic thoroughly, write and submit the article (along with all referenced sources) to the Managing Editor.
  • The Managing Editor (or supporting Editor) proofreads for things like consistency, grammar, and style.
  • The article, if of a medical nature, is passed to a health professional for fact-checking and approval.
  • The editor confirms any edit requests made by the health professional before publishing.

Our Team

Our team is dedicated to delivering relevant, informative content based on facts and supported by medical professionals. For this reason, we have curated a diverse, knowledgeable group of writers with varying backgrounds – from doctors and nurses to industry influencers with first-hand experience with common medical conditions. This team of experts is dedicated to providing ActiveBeat readers with factual information that can help them lead happier, healthier lives.
