It sort of makes sense that if you eat foods high in cholesterol—your blood cholesterol will increase. However, according to research from the U.S. Dietary Guidelines Advice Committee, that’s not quite how cholesterol works.
In fact, the Dietary Guidelines Advice Committee claims that the cholesterol we eat, has very little connection the cholesterol swirling around in our bodies and blood, since blood cholesterol is manufactured by the liver, not the foods we consume.
